Frail T2DM patients less frequently received both basal and rapid-acting insulin therapy [respectively, 14(13.6%) vs 27(27.5%), p = 0.04 and 13 (12.6%) vs 25(25.5%), p = 0.04], as well as oral antidiabetic treatment [61(59.2%) vs 72(73.5%), p = 0.03] compared to robust ones. This evidence concerns the gene INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
