It has been proposed that G-CSF, an agent commonly used for neutropenia treatment, can stimulate hematopoietic cell mobilization to the injured liver, facilitating liver regeneration and consequently improving survival rates (Liu et al., 2006; Li et al., 2010; Garg et al., 2012; Duan et al., 2013; Chavez-Tapia et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene CSF3 and neutropenia.
