PKM and Alzheimer disease: Compared with the WT group, the expression levels of AMPK, PFKFB3, HK2, and PKM2 were significantly decreased in the AD group (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05); compared with the AD group, the expression levels of AMPK, PFKFB3, HK2, and PKM2 were increased in the AD + EA group (P < 0.05); compared with the AD + AMPK(+/–) group, the expression levels of AMPK, PFKFB3, HK2, and PKM2 were increased in the AD + AMPK(+/–) + EA group (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05).
