Similar to the observations from Wingo et al. 42, we found decreased levels of synaptic (e.g., GRIA2, AP2A2, AP2B1, BAIAP2, DMXL2, DLG4, SYNPO) and mitochondrial proteins (e.g., NDUFS1, PDHA1) but increased levels of proteins involved in myelination and apoptosis processes (e.g., GFAP, GSN, NEFL) in AD brain. The gene discussed is GFAP; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
