Similar to the observations from Wingo et al. 42, we found decreased levels of synaptic (e.g., GRIA2, AP2A2, AP2B1, BAIAP2, DMXL2, DLG4, SYNPO) and mitochondrial proteins (e.g., NDUFS1, PDHA1) but increased levels of proteins involved in myelination and apoptosis processes (e.g., GFAP, GSN, NEFL) in AD brain. Here, DMXL2 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
