Genes belonging either to extrinsic and intrinsic coagulation cascade, kallikrein-kinin system, fibrinolytic system and regulatory pathways, were widely downregulated upon long-term Listeria infection in Huh7 and PMH cells (32 and 19 DEGs, respectively), 16 of which were common to both hepatocyte models (Figure 4A). The gene discussed is KLK4; the disease is listeriosis.
