AUC showed good ability for α-synuclein under RT centrifugation (AUC = 0.873, 95% CI: 0.793–0.953, Figure 5A) to distinguish PD patients from HCs, whereas α-synuclein levels under refrigerated centrifugation (AUC = 0.611, 95% CI: 0.488–0.733, Figure 5B), and NFL levels under RT (AUC = 0.674, 95% CI: 0.557–0.792, Figure 5C) and refrigerated centrifugation (AUC = 0.652, 95% CI: 0.535–0.77, Figure 5D) did not demonstrated adequate AUCs to separate PD from HCs. This evidence concerns the gene NEFL and Parkinson disease.
