In a completed clinical trial enrolled 41 participants, dendritic cell-derived exosomes have been used to deliver proteins including melanoma antigen recognized by T cells 1 (MART-1) and MAGE family member A1 (MAGEA1) into NSCLC patients, which can suppress progression of lung cancer by activating the immune response with the induction chemotherapy (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01159288). The gene discussed is MAGEA1; the disease is lung cancer.
