The immunosuppressive subset of CAFs (CAF-S1) described by Costa and collaborators was shown to recruit T lymphocytes and induce their differentiation towards CD25 antigen (CD25) High forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) High, which suggestively explains the accumulation of FOXP3+ T lymphocytes in some triple negative breast cancers. The gene discussed is FOXP3; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
