Interestingly, however, while it was suggested that in patients with non-small cell lung cancer given first line anti-PD-1 antibodies, the predictive effect of BMI on PFS and OS could be lost if tumor cells strongly express (≥ 50%) PD-L1, other studies confirmed that baseline obesity is associated to significantly improved clinical outcomes also in strong PD-L1 expressors [2, 3, 16, 17].
