At 7 dpi of TuMV-GFP, TuMV CP accumulated to a higher level in the top leaves of plants treated with cpSRP54 hairpin RNAi construct compared with those treated with the control hairpin construct targeting the unrelated β-glucuronidase (GUS) gene, which indicates that the effect of cpSRP54 silencing on TuMV infection was not due to chlorosis (S2C and S2D Fig).
