FBN2 and Marfan syndrome: This includes reduced levels of FBN2 (fibrillin 2) that plays a key role in providing elasticity along with elastic fibers in many tissues, in particular blood vessels (Fig. 2), and modulates TGFβ signalling, which is well known to be involved in vascular connective tissue disorders such as Marfan Syndrome, by binding LTBP [90], [91], [92].
