In the univariate analysis, both ALBI grade and AFP had a prognostic impact on our cohort of patients, as also reported in several other papers.26, 27, 28 Differences in terms of AFP and ALBI scores could not be ignored, because the prognostic value of both these parameters could potentially constitute a kind of selection bias when comparing the survival outcomes of the two groups of patients we considered (NASH-related HCC versus no NASH-related HCC).
