In vivo, treatment of Aspergillus-infected Il1r1–/– mice with anakinra increased the ratio of LC3-II/I and decreased p62, a ubiquitin-binding protein that is selectively degraded by autophagy (Figure 1G); inhibited IL-6, IL-17A, IL-1β, and IL-1α production; increased IL-10 (Figure 1H); and ameliorated lung inflammation (Figure 1I).
