ALK and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The third‐generation ALK inhibitor lorlatinib was approved by the FDA in 2018 for the treatment of ALK‐positive NSCLC (Syed, 2019); it showed promising activity against all TKI resistance mutations in ALK in both cellular assays and in vivo mouse models, and most importantly, it could overcome the G1202R mutation (Gainor et al, 2016).
