PRNP and neoplasm: Figure 1B presents the location of ferroptosis genes copy number changes on human chromosomes. For ferroptosis genes, 139 (38.19%) of the 364 samples had somatic mutations, and the maximal mutation frequency was TP53, which mutated in 109 samples (30%) (Figure 1C). The expression level of ferroptosis gene in normal and LIHC tissues was examined. As revealed from the results, most ferroptosis gene expression was up-regulated in LIHC tissues, while ACSL5, CP, HMOX1, PRNP, SLC39A14, SLC39A8, and TF expressions in normal tissue were significantly higher than those in tumor tissues (Figure 1D).
