The excess of adipose tissue in individuals with severe obesity has been associated with the release of inflammatory blood markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell count (WBC), fibrinogen (FB), leukocyte count and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) which constitute low-grade chronic inflammation, representing a potential link between obesity and metabolic disorders or systemic vascular complications [8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and obesity disorder.
