Here, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), using data between 1999 and 2006 to examine the association of two available inflammatory biomarkers that can be easily obtained in routine clinical tests—C-reactive protein (CRP), and systemic immune-inflammation index (SII)—for sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity in older adults with chronic comorbidities. Here, CRP is linked to sarcopenia.
