Notably strong and interesting interactions between HF vs. LF diet groups were the group of genes related to lipid metabolism/liver steatosis: peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (Pparg), complement factor D (Cfd, also known as adipsin), monoacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1 (Mogat1), cell death-inducing DFFA-like effector c (Cidec) and fatty acid binding protein 5 (Fabp5), the network of four cytochrome P450 enzymes (Cyp2c40, Cyp4a12b, Cyp4a31 and Cyp4a32), and the network around annexin A2 (Anxa2) (Figure 4). Here, ANXA2 is linked to fatty liver disease.
