As a member of the TAM receptor family (TYRO3, AXL, MERTK), MERTK is overexpressed in many solid cancers (such as breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and melanoma) as well as in hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [7,8,9,10]. This evidence concerns the gene MERTK and colorectal cancer.
