We observed a positive correlation regarding ALS-LS patients, as follows: HERV-K-env-su(20–38) and TDP-43(258–271) (r = 0.395, p = ns) (Figure 4B), HERV-K-env-su(20–38) and TDP-43(398–411) (r = 0.570, p = 0.013) (Figure 4D), and finally HERV-K-env-su(20–38) and TDP-43(398–411)P (r = 0.473, p = 0.047) (Figure 4F). Here, ERVW-1 is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
