NUP153 and hydrops fetalis: For all above mentioned, the purpose of our study was to evaluate whether changes in certain molecules involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport (IPO5, NUP153, RanGAP1 and SERCA2a) could be used to differentiate patients with advanced HF and a need for MCS from those patients with a greater clinical stability in whom elective transplantation could be performed without the need for prior MCS implantation.
