This revealed a relationship between 130 kDa NPAS3 signal and diagnostic status (Figure 4c, ANOVA, p = 0.016, F > Fcrit, df = 2, relative NPAS3 signal by diagnostic status: schizophrenia: 9.24 ± 1.31, depression: 3.94 ± 0.49, control: 4.04 ± 0.55), with significantly higher NPAS3 in patients with schizophrenia than in control individuals or patients with depression (ptukey = 0.003 in both cases). Here, NPAS3 is linked to major depressive disorder.
