Chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are hematopoietic stem cell neoplasms with driver events including the BCR-ABL1 translocation leading to a diagnosis of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), or somatic mutations in JAK2, CALR, or MPL resulting in Philadelphia-chromosome-negative MPNs with constitutive activation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and myeloproliferative neoplasm.
