TLR4 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Expression of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which is also involved in the pathogenesis of NASH, was found to be higher in the ordered membrane domains in NASH patients, and the TLR4 antagonist sparstolonin B attenuated TLR4 trafficking to these domains, as well as early liver inflammation in a murine model of NASH [176,177,178].
