The phylogenetic and biochemical similarities of TRPM7 with TRPM3 and TRPM2 [27], as well as the potential involvement of TRPM7 in cellular signaling mechanisms that are essential to NK cell function, provide a rationale to characterize TRPM7 in the NK cells of ME/CFS patients. This evidence concerns the gene TRPM3 and myalgic encephalomeyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
