Very recently, hepatic macrophage scavenger receptor 1 (MSR1 or CD204) expression was shown to correlate with steatohepatitis, while serum levels of MF activation markers, including sCD163 and sSiglec-7, mostly correlated with NASH-associated fibrosis [159,181]. The gene discussed is MSR1; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
