Another interesting case concerns the t(7;12) translocation frequently observed on acute myeloid leukemia cells of pediatric patients, where the overexpression of the MNX1 gene (previously called HLXB9) was related to its altered radial nuclear position as a consequence of the translocation of the 7q36 band (containing the MNX1 gene) on the telomeric end of the chromosome 12 [25]. This evidence concerns the gene MNX1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
