PIK3CA (phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphat-3-kinase, catalytic subunit alpha), PTEN and MPK1 (mitogen-activated protein kinase 1) were confirmed as significantly mutated genes (SMG), while ERBB3, CASP8, HLA-A and TGFBR were identified as novel SMGs in cervical cancer. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK1 and cervical cancer.
