In accordance with our experimental hypothesis, it has been previously confirmed that cannabinoid use may selectively stimulate apoptosis in MM cells through a caspase-2-dependent mechanism, but what is even more interesting is that cell death was only activated in MM cells and did not affect normal cells; moreover, cannabinoid-induced apoptosis was inhibited by blocking CB2R [10,33]. The gene discussed is CASP2; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
