Nyberg et al. reported in a prospective analysis that carrying a BRCA1 mutation was associated with a PCa Standardized Incidence Ratio (SIR) of 2.35 (95% CI 1.43–3.88) relative to the population incidence, whereas the SIR for BRCA2 carriers was 4.45 (95% CI 2.99–6.61) [43]. The gene discussed is BRCA2; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
