The hazard ratio of KS ranged from 1.4 to 3.3 in PLHIV with restored immunity with a CD4/CD8 ratio between 0.8 and 0.3 relative to those with a CD4/CD8 ratio of 1, whereas the risk ranged from 1.2 to 2.6 in the whole population of virally suppressed PLHIV. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and Kaposi's sarcoma.
