Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted comparing IgM in sepsis with healthy controls and the respective areas under the curve (AUC) was AUC = 0.73 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.6278 to 0.8314, p = 0.0001) with a 70% sensitivity and 69% specificity at cut-off <266 μg/mL and a positive predictive value (PPV) of 7.9% and negative predictive value (NPV) of 92.4% calculated for an estimated average incidence of 780/100,000 (Figure 3C). This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and Sepsis.
