IgM levels in sepsis patients were significantly decreased compared to SIRS (p = 0.03) and healthy controls (p < 0.0001) with a median and interquartile range of 193 μg/mL (120–310) for sepsis patients (n = 47), 331 μg/mL (236–581) for SIRS patients (n = 11), and 326 μg/mL (238–420) for healthy controls (n = 48) (Figure 1A).
