In PCa, it was observed that mitochondrial NAD-dependent protein deacetylase sirtuin-3 (SIRT3) modulates epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and migration via attenuating the WNT/β-catenin pathway and thus leads to upregulated expression of FOXO3a [27]. Here, SIRT3 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
