In PCa cells, diosmetin reduced cell growth and caused cell cycle arrest in the G0/G1 cell cycle phase with decreased expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E, as well as cyclin-dependent kinase (cdk2) and cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (cdk4); moreover, it increased the expression of p27/Kip1. This evidence concerns the gene CDK4 and posterior cortical atrophy.
