This study finds that (1) The protein expression levels of EGFR and SQSTM1 in tumor tissue are significantly higher than that in normal tissue and their expression is positively correlated in OSCC patients; (2) high levels of EGFR are significantly associated with advanced pathological stage, larger tumor size, and lymph node metastasis in OSCC patients, especially in TSCC patients; (3) OSCC patients with the high co-expression of EGFR and SQSTM1 have poor DSS; (4) expression levels of SQSTM1 are significantly decreased in EGFR-knockdown OSCC cells. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and neoplasm.
