The over-expression of MPK6 and GNS genes in our study corresponds to the previous study as these are involved in the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases signaling acting as the first line of defense for plants against fungal infection [68] and the production of hydrolytic enzyme β-1,3 endoglucanase, respectively, helping the wheat plants have enhanced resistance to pathogen attack [69]. This evidence concerns the gene GNS and fungal infectious disease.
