Another study found that several of the genes, upregulated in MDS patients’ CD34+ cells, were interferon-stimulated genes, such as STAT1, IRF9, interferon-induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 1 and 3 (IFIT1 and IFIT3), interferon-induced transmembrane protein 1 (IFITM1), and interferon-induced protein 44-like (IFI44L) [65].
