A study on MnTnHex-2-PyP5+ in the presence of radiation in a 4T1 breast cancer mouse subcutaneous model provided evidence that, in addition to its inhibitory effect on NF-кB, this MnP suppresses the activities of several mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), p38, and AKT [10]. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
