Within disease-associated ATM, the three main categories are infectious myelitis (e.g., herpes viruses), systemic inflammatory disorders (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus) and acquired demyelinating disorders, where ATM may represent a first presentation (multiple sclerosis (MS) [44], acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) [45], neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) [3] and the increasingly recognised myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody associated disease (MOGAD) [46]).
