Two studies investigated the participation of AKNA in other autoimmune diseases, pSS (progressive systemic sclerosis) [29], and VKH (Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada disease) [26], representing 6% of all participants, and one publication evaluated disorders associated to chronic respiratory infectious diseases (PCD, primary ciliary dyskinesia) [24]. The gene discussed is AKNA; the disease is systemic sclerosis.
