AKNA and urinary bladder cancer: Along the same line, the publications by Martinez-Nava et al. [27], Manzo-Merino et al. [20], Wang et al. [25], and recently Liao et al. [33] on bladder cancer indicate that AKNA participates and is somehow downregulated in different cancer types with an epithelial origin, revealing a protective role for AKNA in cell transformation.
