In our previous study, we showed that Galectin-1, Mesothelin, Osteopontin, and VEGF have higher levels in malignant pleural mesothelioma compared with the benign patients and Galectin-1 and Mesothelin have higher levels in malignant pleural mesothelioma compared with the metastatic adenocarcinoma patients [29]. The gene discussed is MSLN; the disease is malignant pleural mesothelioma.
