P2RY12 and atrial fibrillation: Patients with atrial fibrillation and recent PCI with a concurrent indication for OAC:In AF patients with CCS or ACS who undergo uncomplicated PCI, early cessation (≤ 1 week) of aspirin and continuation of dual therapy with an OAC and a P2Y12 inhibitor (preferably clopidogrel) for up to 6 or 12 months, respectively, is recommended if the risk of stent thrombosis is low or if concerns about bleeding risk prevail over concerns about risk of stent thrombosis (Class I). OAC monotherapy alone is then continued 12 months post PCI.16
