Statistical overrepresentation analysis of molecular functions with reference to CAD of both the GA and the AA genotypes showed that phosphatidylcholine-sterol O-acyltransferase activator, cholesterol transfer activity, sterol transfer activities, and phosphatidylcholine binding were exclusively up-regulated in the GA, whereas, platelet degranulation, and response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+ were exclusively up-regulated in the AA genotype. This evidence concerns the gene LCAT and coronary artery disorder.
