IFNA1 and infection: IFN-α effectively inhibited infection by both viruses in control cells, however, in NCOA7 knockout cells IFN-α was 2- to 3-fold less effective at inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 Spike pseudotype (Fig 1F) or wild-type SARS-CoV-2 (Fig 1G) infections, demonstrating that endogenous NCOA7 contributes to IFN-α mediated suppression of SARS-CoV-2.
