Prior to abscission, PI(4,5)P2 at the ICB is hydrolyzed by Oculo-cerebro-renal syndrome of Lowe (OCRL) (Dambournet et al., 2011), a 5-phosphatase, that is recruited by endosomal Rab35, and delivered to the ICB to dephosphorylate PI(4,5)P2. This evidence concerns the gene RAB35 and oculocerebrorenal syndrome.
