Moreover, a comparison between tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues showed the LEPROT mRNA levels were significantly lower in the tumor tissues of BLCA, BRCA, COAD, KICH, KIRC, KIRP, LUAD, LUSC, PRAD, READ, THCA, and UCEC (p < .001) and higher in CHOL (p < .001), GBM (p < .01), and HNSC (p < .05) (Figure 1A) compared with the corresponding normal tissues.
