Of the upregulated genes, several were found to be associated with survival and pathogenesis in other studies including one study which found that ectopic expression of HBE1 decreased the production of radiation-induced intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) and cell mortality (Park et al., 2019); similarly, ORM1 serves as a prognostic factor and can be used to predict therapeutic response in advanced extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma patients treated with pegaspargase/gemcitabine (Zhou et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene ORM1 and extranodal nasal NK/T cell lymphoma.
