In a prospective, observational study of 215 psoriasis patients receiving biologic therapy recruited over a 1-year follow-up, an improvement in hs-CRP and HDL cholesterol level was observed in the anti–IL17-treated groups, and the most significant reduction (up to 12%) in coronary plaque burden appeared in the anti–IL-17 therapy group among all biologic-treated groups (Elnabawi et al., 2019a). Here, IL17A is linked to psoriasis.
