Together, these data show that infiltration of FOXP3+ cells (either as an absolute density or CFR), M1-like macrophages, and CD8-FOXP3-PD-1+ cells (i.e., presumed CD4+PD-1+ cells), are associated with improved overall survival, suggesting that these cells are involved in modulating tumor aggressiveness.
