TKT and rhabdomyosarcoma: When herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1)-thymidine kinase (TK) was introduced into the rAAV6.2 genome, transduced human TK negative rhabdomyosarcoma cells were eliminated upon exposure to ganciclovir, and the viability of transduced B-cell tumor cells was reduced, providing support for development of rAAV-based oncolytic therapy.
