At 4 weeks after AngII infusion, the surviving mice showed significant improvement in cardiac functions and hypertrophy in the anti-Ly6G antibody–treated (neutropenia) group compared with the normal IgG antibody–treated (control) groups (Supplemental Figure 8), indicating a pathogenic role of WT neutrophils that is similar to the KLF2-null condition. The gene discussed is KLF2; the disease is neutropenia.
