CRP and COVID-19: As expected, hypertensive-COVID-19 patients demonstrated a significant higher level of CRP ( 12.45[5.00–38.60] vs. 9.30[2.31–23.68], p < 0.05), hs-CRP (12.34[4.20–37.13] vs. 5.38[0.50–22.48], p < 0.05), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (46.00[25.25, 70.00] vs. 38.00[18.00–60.00], p < 0.05) and alanine aminotransferase (26.65[16.00–42.25] vs. 24.00[16.00–34.00], p < 0.05) (Table 2).
